  • Uphold and manage a safe work environment, Maintain safety standards for hourly workforce.
  • Prioritize and assign work to personnel based daily requirements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other groups to ensure the equipment is being utilized and maintained.
  • Coordinate with the engineering group to ensure that the work is compliant with company standards and within the mine plan using short interval control.
  • Evaluate, Train, and Develop workforce.
  • Perform duties such as managing time, bi-yearly evaluations for direct reports.
  • Ability to use electronic devices. 

Qualifications

  • 6 Years underground experience
  • 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of underground hard rock mining required.
  • Long hole stoping with Tele-Remote a plus
  • Knowledge of environmental standards
  • Good communication skills with direct reports
  • Excellent safety record

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must be able to work shift work with 12 hour shifts.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
  • Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
