The role

There is an exciting opportunity for experienced Underground Mine Operators to join our Waihi Operation within a team that is committed to achieving an injury free work environment, who have a high regard for personal safety, fitness for work, and the safety of their workmates.

You will need to have a proven safety record and previous experience working in an underground mine.

We are looking to fill vacancies in a number of roles including:

  • Nipper's
  • Jumbo Operators
  • Loader Operators
  • Charge Crew

The successful candidate will have:

  • ideally at least two years' experience in an underground mining operation
  • a commitment to workplace health and safety
  • attention to detail
  • the ability to think quickly
  • problem solving capabilities
  • a full class 1 driver's licence
  • the ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
