Process Maintenance Planner

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Actively participate in Process, Safety, Health, Environmental and/or Quality Improvement initiatives. Individual will be driven to lead these initiatives, as required.
  • Foster a high performance work environment that encourages employee ownership and participation in safety, environmental and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for efficient and effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities and resources to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance jobs and projects.
  • Maintain equipment information and repair files.
  • Write work scopes for standard jobs to include tools, manpower, and materials required to complete jobs.
  • Perform work order opening and closing for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
  • Actively participate in scheduling meetings with the operations and technical service departments to prioritize work orders, minimize downtime, optimize downtime, and evaluate lead times.
  • Manage the status of work orders, backlogs, and drive proper work order completion.
  • Verify all material, information, tools, and labor are available prior to scheduling.
  • Lead scheduling activities for outages and maintain outage schedules to keep all groups informed of progress.
  • Work in a supervisory role as needed
  • Other responsibilities may be added as management deems necessary for the successful operation of the Haile Gold Mine.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position Qualification:

 

  • Knowledge:
  1. Working knowledge of behavior based safety systems.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, Project plus planning and scheduling tools.
  3. Working knowledge of industrial processes, process equipment, process controls and maintenance of these items.
  4. Working knowledge of industrial mobile equipment and their safe use.
  5. Working knowledge of welding procedures required.
  6. Experience using predictive maintenance systems and tools.
  7. Hands on experience in the maintenance of process equipment and material handling equipment.
  8. Hands on experience troubleshooting, root cause analysis, repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
  9. Experience working with process chemicals.
  10. Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  11. Ability to read and interpret service manuals, parts manuals, documents and drawings.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  1. Proven commitment to behavioral based safety culture.
  2. Must have strong computer skills. Must be able to write reports, enter and retrieve data from CMMS systems.
  3. Must be able to manage the status of work control and backlog for work order submission to work order completion.
  4. Ability to maintain and repair basic industrial process equipment such as process pumps, conveyors, screens, crushers, etc.
  5. Skills needed to maintain mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment is desired.
  6. Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance jobs and projects.
  7. Must be able to work well with others.
  8. Welding ability is a plus.
  9. Operation of industrial mobile equipment is a plus.
  • Experience:
  1. Hands on experience in the maintenance of process equipment and material handling equipment.
  2. Hands on experience troubleshooting, root cause analysis, repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
  3. Experience working with process chemicals.
  4. Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  5. Experience using asset management, preventative maintenance program and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
