Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

 

Key Tasks

·Employee must perform safe and timely repairs to plant equipment in areas of electrical and instrument maintenance.

    Example duties could include, but are not limited to:

o   Troubleshoot and repair AC & DC circuits and control equipment

o   Troubleshoot and repair single phase motors and three phase electrical systems

o   Troubleshoot various input elements of control loop, including pressure, temperature, density, mass and flow measurement devices

o   Troubleshoot various final control elements of control loop, including discrete and continuous devices

o   Tune operation of control loops

o   Perform PLS troubleshooting and correction.

Technical Skills:

 

·       Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics instrumentation drawings, P & IDs and mechanical drawings.

·       Ability to operate all equipment appropriate for electrical testing and measuring/calibration of instruments.

·       Ability to perform work in difficult to access locations, in an outdoor environment under various temperatures and weather conditions.

·        

Knowledge/Experience

 

· Must have functional knowledge of computer systems (i.e. Microsoft Office products)

 

· Minimum 2 years related industry experience with a stable work history.

 

· Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or a related field.
