Senior Buyer

Key Tasks:

·         Planning and supervising Supply Chain functions

·         Oversee all warehousing activities

·         Oversee all purchasing activities

·         Manage and validate Inventory Control systems

·         Manage all site logistical needs

·         Vendor relations, RFP’s and negotiations

·         Forecasting supply demand

·         Implement/manage supply chain policies and procedures

·         Other responsibilities and functions as assigned

·         Five (5) years purchasing/warehousing experience in a related field

·         Dealing with regulatory entities

·         Four year degree preferred

·         Member of professional affiliations, Purchasing Trade Associations preferred


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) during the course of the workday.
  • Work is in a mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective
