JOB RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to show competency with Minetek evaporator operations and basic troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to show competency with Pump set-up, operations and basic troubleshooting.
  • Capable and able to refuel of Pumps and Generators
  • Capable of Operating Heavy equipment to include Articulating truck, Excavator and Dozer
  • Must be able to understand the bulk water storage areas; to include but not limited to water source locations to and from as well as Maximum and Minimum water levels in lined facilities
  • Understand environmental standards pertaining to pumps outside of the pits

Additional Key Activities:

  • Be able to plan and carry out pump replacements
  • Be self-driven to maintain pump and evaporator operations
  • Work safe and efficiently in all areas pertaining to Water management and Equipment operations

  1. Be able to clearly and accurately communicate with Mine Service Superintendent, Supervisors and Crew leads, Mine Operations Mine 3’s and Drill and Blasts Mine 4’s
  2. Be able to clearly and accurately communicate with vendors to include Rain for Rent, Sunbelt, Global and Minetek
  3. Be able to operate Excavator and Dozer
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  2. Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (50 to 75 pounds) during the course of the workday.
  3. Work is in a surface mine operational setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
  4. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
