The role:

OceanaGold is seeking a highly professional and experienced Systems Analyst - IT to support and maintain the Group’s People & Culture HRIS, SuccessFactors.

Reporting to the IT Manager – Applications, this role acts as the intermediary between our Digital Technology and People & Culture teams and plays a crucial role in HRIS development, including business and functional requirement gathering; research and development; technical analysis and design; and support to People and Culture in executing, testing and implementing the solutions.

 Key tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Ensure system functionality is effectively maintained, continuously developed, and supported to meet evolving business processes.
  • Manage the administration of the HRIS, including dealing with all incoming queries.
  • Provide coaching and change management support to key stakeholders.
  • Provide training and ongoing support, ensuring HRIS users understand how to navigate the system.
  • Focus on process improvement, including creating greater efficiencies and streamlining processes.
  • Assist with cyclical People & Culture processes, including performance and remuneration reviews.
  • Develop companywide reporting standards, compliance reporting and new bespoke reports as required.
  • Manage compliance and governance, ensuring that legislative changes are adhered to.
  • Continuously seek to understand and improve the HRIS user experience by gathering user feedback, query types, problem-solving and proactivity, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related area of study).
  • Functional knowledge of SAP HCM modules and/or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience in developing easy-to-understand documents, including but not limited to process maps/workflows, support and management guides and user how-to guides.
  • Experience managing HR systems projects and working with internal and external technical resources.
  • A pro-active attitude in identifying opportunities for improvement, sharing ideas and participating as an active member of a team in an open and honest way.
