OceanaGold Waihi are seeking an experienced Business Analyst - Continuous Improvement (CI). You will be responsible for the initial development of the CI generic business models and business case templates across various business functions and for the management of all reporting functions across the CI Department and the introduction and operations of the Project Lifecycle model and reporting of projects across the lifecycle.
- Assist managing the CI project selection workshop with the CI Manager, the CI department members, and the senior management team.
- Ensure CI projects are based on technical and economic fundamentals and represent the best business case fundamentals.
- Ensure each CI project has an agreed schedule, budget, and a defined outcome with monthly reporting against these key KPI’s for each chosen project.
- Support line management teams in the development of their respective CI projects and the specific business cases.
- Responsibility for individual budgeting and ranking the projects at site level positioning within the overall budgeting process for both quarterly and yearly budgets/forecasts.
- Development of analytical models used for CI Projects across the site and understanding how each model develops the specific business case in that area.
- Assist the CI project selection process supporting each of the CI department team members and the senior management team resulting in a final CI project priority classification matrix.
- Responsibility for projects over their entire Life Cycle including ongoing reporting against milestones, schedules, and costs per project; leading and facilitating monthly overview / reviews; and once completed the operational post project reviews.
- Tertiary Finance/Accounting qualification, or equivalent, at degree level
- Formal training or qualifications in Continuous Improvement (preferred)
- 3 - 5 years of Management Accounting experience
- Experience of Analytical Statistics.
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of project management, including cost control, safety performance, fostering of professional relationships, and schedule reporting and delivery.
