As the result of an internal promotion we are looking for an experienced professional to provide financial accounting and taxation services to the New Zealand Operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver the financial accounting requirements for the Macraes & Waihi operations, including the preparation of the statutory financial consolidation package for submission to Head Office.
- Ensure tax compliance requirements, including tax provisioning calculations are accurate, liaising with the IRD.
- Work closely with auditors, ensuring that all queries are dealt with of escalated accordingly.
- Calculate crown royalty calculations and manage returns where applicable for gold shipments.
- Maintain databases and models pertaining to financial reporting including asset registers, Pronto database and General Ledger.
- Prepare/ Finalise the consolidated statutory financial statements for the New Zealand Group.
- Overseeing the transaction finance requirements, such as accounts payable.
- Work towards continuous improvement of financial accounting processes.
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy. Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent.
- Full and Current Driver Licence.
