Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

As the Senior Business Partner in Learning and Development, you will be responsible for aligning our learning programs with the Company's Balance Business Plan (BBP) under People. This role is crucial in developing and implementing effective competency-based training initiatives that includes:

  • Identify competency requirements for acting and interim roles, collaborating with Line Managers to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Coordinate with accredited training providers to address identified competency gaps effectively.
  • Review and approve external training requests, ensuring alignment with competency development needs.
  • Develop and implement learning strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify skill gaps across the organization.
  • Create diverse learning programs, including e-learning, classroom training, and blended learning approaches.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop tailored development plans for all staff levels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using KPIs and feedback mechanisms.
  • Manage the learning and development budget efficiently and responsibly.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative approaches to learning and development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with 2-3 years in learning and development
  • Proficiency in adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning management systems
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience in performance consulting, needs analysis, and leadership development
  • Knowledge of HR management principles and training methodologies
  • Strategic thinking, project management, and data-driven decision-making abilities
  • TESDA holder of TM1 and relevant HR or L&D certifications preferred but not essential
