Manager - Asset Maintenance

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

• Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team engaged with mobile equipment and fixed plant maintenance to: 

• Strengthen the safe work culture through actively leading and supporting Didipio’s safe systems of work.  

• Safely support the delivery of production targets  

• Collaborate closely with the Processing Manager in the planning and execution of maintenance activities. 

• Work closely with other operational leaders to develop and execute annual and Life of Mine plans for the business.  

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Asset Maintenance, including safety,  performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement. 

• Manage the development of the forward maintenance program (including specific projects) for critical equipment through the development of detailed route maintenance strategies and analysis and interpretation of asset inventory, condition, history, treatment options, cost and other relevant information. 

• Review and improve business systems, processes and costs and report on activities, performance and issues against plans and budgets. 

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Asset President – Didipio Operations and other internal and external parties. 

• Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Asset Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Asset Management or related fields highly desirable.  

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset maintenance management, maintenance planning, or a related field, with at least 7 years in a supervisory or managerial role. 

• ISO 55001 certification (Asset Management System), is an advantage. 

• Proven track record in an operational leadership role developing and implementing asset management strategies and systems 

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold Way 

• Familiarity with sustainability practices, such as energy efficiency and waste reduction, as they relate to asset management. 

• Strong knowledge of asset management principles, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle costing. 

• Strategic planning and organizational skills to align asset management activities with broader business objectives. 

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.  

• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and data analysis tools. 

• Capability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities in asset management and proactively address them. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within culturally diverse workforce setting
