The Process Reliability Technician is responsible for troubleshooting various mechanical systems, machinery condition monitoring, machine health data collection, root cause analysis, and predictive and preventative maintenance of plant equipment.
- Must complete and pass all applicable induction and safety tests
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment
- Must have a good understanding of mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, technical drawings(PNID), isometrics
- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, piping systems/process piping, conveyor systems
- Must be able to climb steps and ladders and work at heights as required
- Must be able to work in a team environment or alone
- Must be able to learn how to operate mobile and workshop equipment including: forklift, scissor lift, man lift and telehandler
- Must have attention to detail, be self-motivated and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with little supervision
- Working knowledge of basic computer systems (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Minimum 1 year of industrial or mining mechanical experience desirable.
- NDT Certification desireble.
- Experience with Industrial Lubrication or material handling desirable
- Experience with Oil sampling programs desirable.
- Vibration data collection desirable
- Thermal camera use desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
- Occasionally may be required to work early morning or evening hours to meet global organizational needs.
- Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
