Job Description

To Assist the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to lead and supervise personnel and sub-contractors in the safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks.

Lead electrical and instrumentation maintenance as planned via the maintenance planning workflow process within allocated budget and time frames.

  • Carries out routine maintenance of process plant and site equipment, as directed by the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.
  • Scope tasks in full to allow the Electrical Maintenance planner to accurately plan the work
  • Assists with plant operation as required.
  • Is available for standby as rostered and as required during plant breakdowns and shutdowns.
  • Covers leave absences for the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.
  • Ensures that the workshops and yard and the plant site is left tidy after maintenance work is carried out.
  • Coaches & Mentors the Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians and Trades Assistants.
  • Carries out all other duties that may reasonably be required.
  • Assists in developing continuing training for the Electrical and Instrumentation group and seeks areas for improvements for training
  • Helps in training any new Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians
  • Will still be required to be on the on-call rotation
  • Will assist in leading and overseeing in house projects, scope and execution.
  • Assist Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor in liaison with the Capital Projects Team.
  • All other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications

Qualifications:              First Aid Certificate

                                       Full Manual Drivers License

                                       NFPA 70 E Training                                            

Experience:                  5-10 Years exposure to heavy industries

                                      Exposure to mining or mineral processing industries is useful

                                      Exposure to leading and supervision of staff and contractors
