Job Description
We are looking for a Supervisor to join the team at our Waihi operation. Working with the Superintendent – Mining with the day to day supervision of mining crews, optimisation and streamlining of data, and mentoring of other mining supervisors. Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects with the assistance of technical personnel. Provide coverage for the Superintendent – Mining during periods of leave.
Qualifications
- Must hold or be working toward attainment of the New Zealand A or B Grade Tunnel Managers’ Certificate of Competency or equivalent
- Controlled Substance Licence suitable for operation at Waihi (preferred). Current First Aid Certificate
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
- Extensive underground mining experience with exposure to production mining techniques
- Previous supervisor experience is essential
- Extensive knowledge of the practices and techniques applied in underground mining.
