We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Underground Surveyor to join our team in Waihi, New Zealand. As an integral part of our mining operations, you will be responsible for conducting accurate surveys, maintaining digital datasets and providing crucial data for operational mining activities.
- Perform underground surveys using various surveying equipment and techniques
- Install and maintain laser alignment systems for development headings
- Carry out CMS and CALS scans of stopes and voids
- Issue mining instruction and memos for operations
- Develop and extend the mine survey control network to ensure the highest achievable accuracy for the mine
- Update and maintain accurate survey data records and 3D models
- Degree or Qualification in Surveying
- Current Drivers License with the ability to drive a manual
- Survey experience in an underground mine environment preferred
- Proficiency in surveying equipment and software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac)
- Excellent mathematical, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and physical fitness for underground work
- Experience the lifestyle of a residential mine, just a short distance away from the beaches and inspiring scenery in and around Waihi, New Zealand
