Mine Services Technician (Underground)

Please note this is a fixed term position until the end of 2025. The primary purpose of the role is to provide trades assistance to the Supervisor - Construction across a range of projects related to the underground mine, ensuring construction and mine services installation work is completed safely, to a high standard and in a timely fashion.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure environmental protection measures required on the job are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Communication of any issues or incidents relating to H&S to the Supervisor, making sure that all equipment is operated safely.
• Operate the Komatsu agitator truck and batch plant to provide structural concrete for pads, footings and other construction projects
• Undertake construction, logistics activities and machine operation
• Support project construction activities through execution of minor works such as pad and formwork preparation.
• Assist with minor logistics activities such as the movement of materials from stores and laydowns.
• Perform minor earth works using integrated tool carrier with bucket as required

• Full and current class 1 drivers licence with ability to drive manual vehicles
• A building trade qualification would be an advantage
• First Aid Certificate beneficial
• Experience in underground construction beneficial
• Previous supervisory skills would be advantageous
