The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Auto-Electrician (UG Equipment - Mobile), who perform routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and servicing of automotive electrical and electronic systems ensuring target availability on all production equipment through work quality, cost-efficient, environmentally, and safe manners.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Participate in Identifying hazardous working conditions and safety problems through a risk assessment
- Troubleshoot and repair all UG Heavy Mobile Equipment electrical systems. Including but not limited to basic electrical systems, PLC systems, Remote control Systems, and Rig Control System
- Diagnose and repair starting/charging systems and batteries
- Diagnoses and undertakes electrical repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment
- Document equipment maintenance through work orders and PRONTO
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
- Minimum five (5) year’ work experiences in maintaining electrical system of heavy mobile equipment
- Completion of secondary education and accredited certification
- A relevant Philippine recognized electrical trade or engineering certificate
- Previous experience with underground Mobile Equipment Electrical systems
- Has a valid Driver’s License and or Mobile equipment operation
- Holder of National Certificates (NCs) for relevant trades
