Due to an expanding team, our Open Pit Operations crew are on the hunt for multiple Blast Crew members. These roles will assist with ensuring all Open Pit Drill and Blast activities are compliant with production targets and are completed in a safe and efficient manner. This is a great opportunity to start or continue your career in mining, with opportunities to develop long-term, gaining Shotfiring tickets and Blast certifications along the way!
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Achieve a pit permit for mine and safely operate vehicles in the mining area
- Assist with ensuring the security of the Magazines.
- Ensure each blast area is correctly prepared and controlled during all loading and blasting activities, under the guidance of the shotfirer
- Follow all site procedures as required
- Full and current Drivers Licence, the ability to drive manual vehicles is essential
- First Aid Certificate benficial
- Mining experience and Approved Handlers Certificate beneficial
