• Primary responsibilities:
  • Provide frontline safety leadership / mentoring / coaching for the Mining Operations and Mining Projects teams.
  • Provide cross-functional mining operations, projects and mining engineering support to the Mining Department to enable 2025 budget delivery and achievement of targeted production ramp-up profile.
  • Ensure safe, on-time delivery of mining capital projects, including the UG recovery project, UG de-watering system upgrades, paste reticulation network extensions / upgrades and digitilisation project.
  • Lead the implementation / embedment of the OGC Project Management Framework in the Mining Projects Team.
  • Ensure compliance to OGC project management, procurement and contract management standards.

• Experience / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
  • First Class Mining Manager Certificate (Aus or NZ) desired.
  • 6 yrs + experience in underground metalliferous mining.
  • Experience in coordinating front-end engineering and design (FEED)  for underground ventilation, paste fill and de-watering projects is desirable.
  • Practical experience in the execution of underground infrastructure projects is essential (de-watering, ventilation, paste reticulation, raiseboring)
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, promote innovation, and address challenges with urgency.
  • Technical leadership and coaching experience to develop individuals and enhance team capabilities.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving issues, implementing preventative controls, and mitigating risks.
  • Ability to hold oneself and others accountable to deliver high-quality results aligned with standards.
  • Commitment to integrating leading operational and technical practices into all aspects of work.
  • Proven ability to build trust, cultivate innovation, and align team efforts with organisational goals.
