Job Description
- Support core drilling at Haile Gold Mine
- Manuel handling of 10-foot drill pipe
- Assist with operation of LF90 Core Drill
- Remove core from drill barrel and box core
- Core boxes accurately and clearly labelled
- Mix and pump drilling additives
- Dig and line mud sumps
- Move drill and equipment between drill sites
- Operate water truck and fill from designated pumps
- Replace broken or worn parts using hand tools
- Conduct daily equipment inspections
- Operate light vehicle F250 on public and mine roads
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- On the job training
- Mining experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Drilling experience preferred
