OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Facilities Maintenance General Labourer (Infrastructure) to Manage critical assets, facilities, and its components, ensure they shall be maintained, preserved and reliable for operation with safety of personnel and care for environment is of utmost priority and will report to the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ability to effectively oversee and manage the maintenance and operations of facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and stakeholders;
• The ability to perform a variety of manual tasks to support operations, including handling materials, maintaining work areas, and assisting skilled workers while adhering to safety standards;
• The ability to identify risk and hazards in the workplace and proactively address and apply the appropriate controls based on the hierarchy of controls;
• The ability to oversee, check, and validate that all activities and deliverables are accomplished at the desired level of excellences that provides confidences to all stakeholders that the organization’s goals and objectives are being achieved and compliance to all regulatory, internal, and external stakeholder’s requirement is being maintained; and
• The ability to create a safe and secure working environment by strictly complying to the company’s Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

• At least high school graduate or Trade Certificate;
• With experience in a basic construction work or general labour role or related field;
• Experience in construction painting and paint tinting combination;
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery;
• Good physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks skills;
• Basic problem-solving skills to address minor issues that arise on the job;
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision;
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors;
• Ability to work in a team environment and contribute positively to group efforts; and
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and work conditions.
