• Facilitate and supervise the implementation and completion of exploration programs and regularly report on progress to senior management;
• Effectively communicate exploration strategy to Company stakeholders such as banks, brokers, analysts, and shareholders as required;
• Act as Principal’s Representative for surface drilling contracts and other contracts as required;
• Provide accurate and timely exploration information for statutory Company reporting, stock exchange reports and media statements;
• Maintain exploration permit portfolio and ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled;
• Monitor activity of competitors and identify business threats or opportunities that may exist because of these activities;
• Undertake project appraisals and make recommendations to senior management regarding joint venture acquisition opportunities;
• Provide leadership of the exploration teams and specific supervision and coaching of Exploration Geologists;
• Assist with the design, preparation and implementation of an exploration strategy aligned with corporate objectives;
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and operating plans as required; and
• Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.

• Registered Geologist;
• Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded;
• Minimum of ten (10) years of postgraduate experience in the mining industry;
• Experience in gold and copper-gold exploration required with significant experience in Porphyry copper-gold and LS and HS epithermal gold mineralisation;
• Experience with the application and interpretation of geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling exploration techniques;
• Exposure to a variety of commodity types, exploration techniques, mining methods, and operational environments;
• Understanding of resource estimation methodology and geostatistics;
• Strong team leadership and management skills;
• Skills in budgeting and forecasting; and
• Drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
