Job Description
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Specialist - Maintenance Planning (Master Data) who will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the CMMS (Pronto) database, including but not limited to equipment records, catalogs, and other relevant master data. Maintaining a Zero-Injury workplace environment and ensures the CMMS system reflects the current state of equipment and parts inventory, facilitating accurate planning and execution of maintenance activities. The role reports to the Superintendent – Maintenance (Planning).
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive master data management framework that ensures accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of data across the system;
- Conduct regular audits of master data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with data governance standards;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data standards and best practices for data entry and management;
- Implement processes for real-time updates to the CMMS, ensuring that any changes in machine specifications and maintenance strategies are immediately reflected;
- Regularly monitor data integrity within CMMS and generate reports to identify outdated information;
- Maintain accurate records of asset lifecycles within CMMS, including acquisition, maintenance history, and disposal;
- Develop a reporting framework that leverages data from CMMS for effective decision-making;
- Prepare and present findings to the maintenance teams, ensuring recommendations are data-driven and actionable;
- Identifies and implements best practices and innovative solutions to enhance master data management;
- Fosters a continuous improvement culture, encouraging teams to contribute ideas for enhancing data management;
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of data management.
Qualifications
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
- Graduate of engineering or a related field;
- 3 – 5 years of experience in the metal and mining industry, with a proven track record of success in master data;
- Licensed engineer or related field is advantageous;
- Good understanding of how to manage key business data like materials and assets;
- Familiar with how maintenance and operations work, especially how data supports these processes;
- Experience or knowledge of working with Pronto CMMS or similar systems;
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and fix data errors;
- Confident using Pronto to enter, update, and manage master data (e.g., equipment, parts, work orders);
- Able to support projects like data clean-up, system updates, and process improvements;
- Good computer skills, especially with spreadsheets and data entry;
- Able to keep data accurate, consistent, and up to date;
- Can follow set processes and help improve how data is managed;
- Comfortable working with different teams like Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT to make sure data meets everyone’s needs;
- Good communicator – able to explain data issues or changes clearly;
- Takes ownership of tasks and works well both independently and in a team.
