OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Technician- Project Execution to Maintain a safe execution of all identified mining projects and ensuring procedures are implemented, employed, and maintained. The role will report to the Supervisor-Project Execution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• The ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and implement projects to achieve desired outcomes within defined constraints of scope, time, cost, and quality;
• Ability to identify potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, such as developing contingency plans for unexpected challenges that may arise during project implementation; and
• The ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly, minimizing risks and preventing accidents through defensive driving techniques.

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
• At least high school graduate;
• At least 1 year experience in an underground operation as a service or paste crew capacity or 2 years’ experience in similar industry;
• Knowledge of the mining operations and Safety procedures;
• Knowledge of pipe-fitting techniques and welding;
• Basic skills in installation of underground services, such as: Ventilation System, Piping/ dewatering System and Paste fill reticulation;
• Preferably, IT (Integrated Tool Carrier) ticket or relevant lifting equipment;
• Physically fit to work in an underground environment/ physical and manual dexterity; and
• With a valid Professional Driver’s License.
