Job Description
OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Tele Remote Bogger Operator who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the LHD. This position operates boggers/Loaders which is used to transport/move dirt, load ore or rock into trucks or stockpileThe role will report to the Supervisor-Mining.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform daily safety checks of equipment;
- Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area;;
- Responsible in erecting beacon lights, signage and barricade prior to bogging;
- Responsible in identifying and correcting hazard prior to bogging;
- Operate other heavy equipment and other related duties as required if permitted/trained;
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of any equipment;
- Maintaining roads/tram, stockpiles and loading areas; and
- Report any defects and respond to equipment critical alarms during remote bogging.
Qualifications
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
- At least a High School Graduate or Trade Certificate;
- A minimum of 1 year experience in remote bogging operations
- Work well without supervision and demonstrate initiative;
- Underground experience is essential;
- Holding various certificates and licences which may include Haul Truck, ITC, Telehandler, Manitou, Scissor Lift, Grader, Offsiding, Service Crew, Manual handling, and Bogger;
- With a valid Professional Driver’s License; and
- Drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
