Job Description
We are on the hunt for an Underground Pump Fitter to carry out routine mechanical maintenance and repairs of the underground pump station, pumping and service auxiliary equipment to the required standards of performance and safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Working as part of the maintenance team, providing an effective and responsive maintenance function to the site
- Performing scheduled and breakdown maintenance of all pumping and dewatering systems
- Pump rebuilds and repairs
- Actively promote, seek out and participate in drives that will lead to improvements in safety, productivity and cost effectiveness
- Carrying out light engineering and fabrication tasks on mobile plant and equipment onsite, supporting the underground mine
Qualifications
- First Aid certificate
- Full driver licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is required
- Mechanical trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter, Machinist or Boilermaker (Preferable)
