Assist with routine electrical maintenance of the Processing plant/Underground mine and site equipment to the standards required as per the Electrical and Mining Regulations and guidelines under the guidance and instruction of the Process Maintenance Electrical Supervisor/UG Electrical Superintendent.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Carries out routine electrical maintenance of the Processing plant and the Underground mine, as well as all site equipment as directed.
- Assists with fault finding and repairs of Processing/Underground mine plant and equipment
- Actively provides suggestions and alternatives for improvements to maintenance and operational processes.
- Undertakes all requirements of the training programme to attain the necessary electrical qualifications.
- Comply with all host company and Oceana Gold policy during off site secondments.
- Accurately records all fault and repair information into the computerised maintenance management system to ensure all future planning can be improved.
- Completion of pre trade training is desirable.
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
