Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Engineer – Mining (Underground), you will have the opportunity to grow your skills in a complex and dynamic mine that is planning to extract ore from remnant areas around the historical underground workings. This is an exciting and unique opportunity very few mining engineers would get to experience.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the rolling 3-month schedule
- Produce and track compliance to the weekly plan
- Complete development and stope designs
- Manage ventilation monitoring and reporting
- Develop and coordinated infrastructure projects
- Inspect and monitor underground operational work areas.
- Liaise with underground personnel to ensure compliance with the mining schedule
Qualifications
- Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Full and current driver license, ability to drive manual vehicles is required
- Drill and Blast experience is highly regarded
