The Open Pit Mine Operations crew are currently looking for a Mine Operator- specialised in drilling, to join their team. Previous drilling experience would be beneficial however this role is open to anyone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

The position available is working on a 50/50 roster pattern: 7 days on, 7 days off; 7 nights on 7 days off.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• • Operate either a variety of top-hole hammer blasthole drill rigs or Sandvik D45KS rotary drills
• • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment at all times
• • Achieve agreed production and personal objectives
• • Carry out pre-start and post operational checks as required

• • Hold a full, clean, current driver’s license and are confident driving a manual vehicle
• • Be able to confidently communicate within a team environment
• • Drilling experience beneficial
• • Have an interest in heavy machinery
• • Be a safety conscious individual committed to maintaining an excellent safety record
• • Pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
