Job Description
Due to growth our Macraes Technical Services and Projects team are on the search for a Project Controller. This role will be responsible for providing project management advice and support to the Technical Services team in relation to ongoing and new projects as identified in the annual budget process and ensuring compliance to corporate Project Management Framework (PMF).
- Develop project execution plans including schedules, resource requirements and interaction management with operations.
- Ensure project schedule and requirements are captured in daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Maintain knowledge of current statutory requirements and industry best practice and ensure compliance at all times.
- Develop reporting tools for tracking project progress.
- Contract scoping, selection and award.
- Develop project budgets and timelines.
- Monitor monthly expenditure to ensure compliance to project budgets.
- Build and maintain effective relationships in order to retain a high-performance workforce through engagement, communication and motivation.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Geotechnical, Mine Engineering or similar
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
Experience
- Preferable 10 years’ experience in mining in either construction, project management, civil, geotechnical or mine engineering roles.
- Software experience; Pronto, Microsoft Project, any CAD software.
