Job Description
Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Supervisor-Mobile Maintenance (Surface Equipment-Mobile) to perform a full range of mechanical maintenance, repair, and service activities on production equipment with considerable independent judgment in deciding with minimal supervision to ensure equipment availability in a quality, cost-efficient, environmentally, and safe manner. The role will report to the Senior Specialist-Mobile Maintenance (Surface Equipment).
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure team compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment policies and procedures
- Encourage everyone to be trained and competent in safety and expertise
- Set high standards of work performance for self and team
- Evaluate strategies and consider options for actions to achieve long-range goals and develops decision criteria considering factors such as csts, benefits, and timing, and select the strategies most likely to succeed;
- Identify more critical and less critical activities and assignments; adjust priorities when appropriate
- Determine tasks or assignment requirements such as tools, materials, and people needed for effective implementation of the plan
- Train, develop, and support team members in career development programs and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold Way
- Automotive or Mechanical Trade Graduate as a minimum, a College Graduate is preferred
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience in automotive or Heavy Equipment servicing or related industry experience
- At least five (5) years relevant experience in a supervisory role or seven (7) years as leading hand
- Experienced servicing Toyota Hilux/Fortuner, Isuzu Light trucks, HOWO Dump Trucks, JCB, Volvo, Terex, Caterpillar, XCMG, and Atlas Copco Generator set an advantage
- Higher level of troubleshooting experience and handling critical situations
- Able to effectively engage, supervise and manage team members
- Experience in Mining Industry or equivalent industry will be highly regarded
- PRC Registered license is an advantage
- With mobile heavy equipment ticket is an advantage
- With a valid Professional Driver’s License
- Holder of any National Certificates (NC-II) or trade certificates relevant to mobile maintenance
- Computer Literate with experience using Pronto and INX is an advantage
