Our Underground Macraes team are on the search for an operations Serviceman. If you have mining experience with the below and are keen to extend your experience, apply today!
- A Level 2 Serviceperson is able to consistently install services and ventilation duct etc to an approved standard within the required timeframe as per our Company policies and procedures
- A Level 1 Serviceperson, in addition to the Level 2 requirements, will hold a "Normal Trans-Mixer Operations" certificate (Agi Ticket) and is competent at batching
- The Maintenance of all underground dewatering and sumps
- All water, compressed air and ventilation services from the portal to the working faces
- The installation and maintenance of all underground emergency response facilities and infrastructure including refuge chambers, firefighting and emergency escape ways
- Installation and maintenance of the underground services infrastructure (compressed air, water, dewatering, ventilation and communication)
- Project infrastructure installations (pumping, electrical, ventilation)
- Installation and grouting of secondary ground support
- Take responsibility for all tools required to undertake service duties
- Be able to work with minimal supervision and assume accountability for the safe installation of all mine services as per Company policies and procedures.
- Be comfortable driving for up to 11 hours a shift
- Hold a Full Class 1 licence (manual preferred)
- Have a genuine interest in a career in the mining industry
- Work and communicate well within a team environment
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and fitness assessment including drug and alcohol testing
