Job Description
The Underground Logistics Truck Operator is accountable for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of supplies to the underground mine and clearance and removal of rubbish to correct locations. The role is also responsible for meeting the required standards and achieving this in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Cartage and storage of explosives & fuel
- General materials cartage inwards and outwards (Ground support, Pumps, Rubbish skip removal)
- Specified crane work
- Ensure storage and lay-down areas are kept clean and tidy
- Pre-starts are fully completed and workplace inspections completed as required
- Ensure that equipment is utilised effectively and efficiently
- Maintain minimum stock levels in yard and underground storage areas
Qualifications
- HT Licence
- Accredited Hi-ab Operators ticket (can be provided on site)
- Certified Handlers Licence to handle explosives (can be provided on site)
- Dangerous Goods licence
Ideal experience:
- 1 year experience in underground mining preferred
- Previous truck driving experience
- Previous Hi-ab or crane operation experience preferred.
